Ways to make School Drug Free
  • Constitution of Drug Free committee in school. 
  • Ensure meeting of committee in school on regular weekly basis.
  • The school premises, surrounding area, cafeteria, cycle stand/parking area and shops/venders in and outside of the school have to be checked and recorded, by the committee.
  • If any case of use of drugs / contraband has been reported in the school, necessary action must be taken.
  • The school council be motivated and utilized to spread awareness amongst the masses




  • The school be distributed into parts to monitor and control the drug use.
  • It may also be ensured that no student is carrying drugs / contrabands. 
  • If any drug sale / distribution point is located near school necessary measures be taken.
  • The students be informed about the bad effects of the use of drugs.


  • The school administration has to arrange special lectures by experts / specialists to highlight damages cause by the drug use. 
  • The ministerial staff be involved to control the drugs in schools. 
  • The ministerial staff (School guards / van drivers/canteen boys / girls) be monitored properly whether they are playing any rule or facilitating the students to use drugs. 
  • The School Health Nutrition Supervisors be monitored and ensured for regular visits to check the health of the school students.
